Abstract:
Design optimisation of hybrid material components and structures often leads to multi-criteria and mixed continuous-discrete problems, where in the problem statements thermo-elastic mismatches and manufacturing aspects are to be also included. For the latter response surface approximations are constructed also by quantification of qualitative knowledge via fuzzy set rules. A series of practical applications solved by Evolutionary Strategy algorithms shows the importance to consider the interaction of materials together with eventual mismatch effects and manufacturing aspects in order to achieve solutions which can be readily implemented.
